Welcome

If you are interested in photography, then Peterborough Photographic Society is suitable for beginners and experienced photographers alike. It meets regularly most Tuesdays throughout the season at 7:30pm (from Sept 4th 2018 to May 14th 2019) in a well equiped club room at the Parkway Sports & Social Club (directions here). Enjoy a full programme of quality guest speakers, practical demonstrations, internal and external competitions, an Annual Exhibition, photographic trips and some lively social events.

Visitors and new members are always welcome with no obligation to join for the first few visits. Come along and visit PPS in the comfort of our clubroom, which has its own bar, and make new friends. See how you can improve your photographic skills. Get help and advice from more experienced photographers.

2018-19 Season Panel Competitions

The 2018-19 Season Panel Competitions with Prints and PDIs has been judged by Dave Stewart. We had 22 PDI Panel entries and was won by Nigel Gardner with ' Victorians'. 2nd. was 'Autumn Trees' also from Nigel Gardner. 3rd. was 'Living Colours' from Di Burns. Highley commended 'Rockart Stratifications' from Ian Haskell. Commended 'Dragonflys' from Colin Bradshaw and 'Hoverflies' from Stuart Ball. We also had 14 Print Panel Entries and was won by Ian Haskell with 'Woodland Impressions' . 2nd. was 'Bamboo Time Chendu' from Judy Hodgson. 3rd. was 'Symmetry' from Gary Goodacre.

Annual Exhibition entry forms

The closing date for the entries is 22nd. January. The judging day will be on 3rd. February, judged by Paul Radden LRPS.DPAGB.EFIAP and President of the EAF. He will give feedback and present the results on the evening of Tuesday 19th Feb. The public exhibition will be at St. John's Church in Market Square, Peterborough from 25th. February to 2nd. March and our opening evening and presentations of awards will be held at the church on Tuesday 26th Feb.

Our Annual Exhibition Entry Forms are on display. Also on display are the full list of The Annual Exhibition Rules. This is for Prints and PDIs and will close on 22nd. January 2019. This will be judged by Paul Radden LRPS.DPAGB.EFIAP. and President of the East Anglian Federation. The Exhibition will be held at the St. John's Church from 25th. February to 2nd. March.

2018-19 Season Comp.3 for PDIs

The Comp. 3 PDIs was a successful night with 65 entries from 22 members. The Judge was David Graham and he gave 2 top 20 scores. These were to Judy Hodgson with 'Walking the Terraces' from China and to Ashley Fure with 'Space Walking Stone Chat' as Natural History. The top 20 pictures and the the full results are now on our web-site
